I recently sold roughly 00 in parts to a guy near Atlanta, he's completely rebuilt a 67 fastback with nearly all Dynacorn parts. Golden this is good but that isn't. Ford this but not that, etc. THEN you you buy those parts from who has them in stock with shipping that suits you and so forth. Find out what is best then find out who sells it plus what to specify when you ask for it. Not being a 65-66 guy I can't offer any further input.
I have found the date codes stamped all over the sheet metal in my 1965 FB. All 3 pieces of metal that are welded together to form a front fender have date codes. The dash has a date code below the ash tray hole. The door posts have date codes stamped between the upper and lower hinges. There are some parts that I feel need to be replaced, but to spend -100 on a replacement part to cut up vs. on a sheet of steel I can get 4-5 patches out of seems to not make sense. So what gauge should I be looking at for normal repairs to . OK, I have got most of the sheet metal dismantled from the car, and what a mess. Iam going to have to replace almost all of the sheet metal, floor pans including the trunk pan, B pillars, 1/4 panels, fenders, wheel wells, shock towers, battery tray, rear window brace etc. I have seen a big difference in prices for these items.

I am restoring a 65-66 Mustang stock car that I built and ran when I was 19 years old. I would like to purchase the least expensive reproduction body sheet metal available. Quality, fit, finish etc is not important as I will be cutting it up and welding together. Outer skin only. No body bracing needed.
Most 69-up Mustang sheetmetal has been unavailable for years, mostly from Ford scrapping the tools. And yeah, shipping the tools is theoretically possible, but cannot be done. IIRC, when the Taiwan makers got feedback about 65-66 parts not fitting well, they tried to bring in a clean Mustang body to trial fit parts. Couldn't do it.
