There is no regulation requiring a metal back box with 1 fixed lug to be bonded to the cpc in the ring final or lighting circuit (as per Limestone Cowboy), however it is considered good practice to connect the back box to the cpc with a sheathed wire (as per Mr H). The only time it must be bonded is with metal faced sockets and switches.
