The repop metal tends to be thinner, which can make it harder to weld. There is trend starting, to produce stuff at the correct gauge, I think AMD is leading the charge on that. .
all aftermarket sheet metal is junk, in my opinion. It never fits well and there's always bodywork that's needed. It's rare to get an aftermarket part that's REALLY ready for prime out of the box.
