Ten years ago, I replaced the plastic mainspring housing on my Stainless II with an Ed Brown snakeskin . Pretty disappointed to find it was made of plastic on a 1200 dollar pistol. I promptly ordered a steel replacement from Wilson. I think the mainspring housing should be made of metal. Otherwise, I love the pistol. :rock:

I tried to install both a Fusion 2011 and a Dawson 2011 mainspring housing. However, the cross pin holes will not line up with the hole in the PT grip. (The plastic STI mainspring housing does line up.) I removed the internals from both metal mainspring housings and I'm able to drive a pin through them.
