Then unscrew your ground fault circuit interrupter outlet and pull out the outlet from the box. Take out the black and white wires from your GFCI outlet. Also of note, the gang box originally had in the first box one set of incoming 12/2 and then outgoing 12/2 and then in the second box incoming 12/2. The same inspector said that the box was too crowded and that the wire needed to be switched to 12/3. and there should only be INCOMING and "pigtail" the rest.
